We've Started!

Yippie, we started digging Saturday.. Monte (the guy digging it out) couldn't get his machine started and tried working on it forever before he decided to bring his smaller machine so by the time he got here it was almost 1:00! That sucks! So since it got started late and he didn't have the huge bucket (the one he used was about half the size of the big bucket) they only got part of it dug.. but they also dug out in front of the house so Deric can fix the existing wall. They ripped up the phone line so I have been without phone for 3 days! And we are still in the dark ages over here so that meant no phone at all (I don't have a cell phone) or Internet (we still have dial up)!! Oh the travesty!! It was horrible, especially after the day I had today.. it always helps to talk to another 'adult' (or blog) to relax. Monte came back today, but there were issues and the basement still isn't finished... but it is really close. The garage area was started, but the septic pipe broke (just the top, so we are still ok, SHEW!) I think it ended up being too muddy so between that and it being dark at 4:30 I think that is why it didn't get finished... I was really hoping it would be! Real bummer is he has another job and might not be back for 3-4 days!! Hopefully he will finish up just the little bit so we can get the concrete guys in... but with the rain we are having that doesn't look too promising.
