My tired little boy.

Brody has been waking up really early lately and it is finally catching up with him! We had just finished lunch (well, Brody almost finished), I washed Reygann off and sent her upstairs to get ready for nap time. When I came back Brody was acting really odd and had me a bit worried! He was all wobbly in his char, his eyes were rolling around all funny, but he would answer me when I talked to him! I decided to wash him off and then check him out and see what was going on... by the time I came back with the washcloth he was asleep!!

He even stayed asleep while I washed him! That is impressive! He was flopping all over the place so I decided to grab the little camera and get a video before I brought him upstairs. It reminds me a lot of Reygann's dinnertime nap! (Did I ever post about that? It was quite a while ago...) I might have to dig them out if I didn't. *I found it and added a link, check it out, she's so cute!*

*~*No children were harmed in the making of this movie!*~*

video

You know you're tired when...

You fall asleep reading a book

...and you fall asleep before you can put it down!

Brodys busy morning

You know it is going to be a good day when it is a yogurt day! Brody loves yogurt!

And he actually stayed fairly clean too!

Breakfast was followed by a little kitty torture

I am pretty impressed Frankie let Brody carry him around!

Oops, he dropped him!

Yeah, he is carrying him folded in half like a taco.

Speaking of tacos, that is what we are having for dinner. Not kitty tacos though!

You little stinker!

Umm, excuse me?! This is not how I put you to bed!!

I think he was trying to help me get him ready for the day... he took his pjs off except for this left foot. For whatever reason he couldn't get that foot out...

Please, mommy? I'm just glad he didn't take his diaper off too!

Isn't this interesting? He has a heart shaped boo boo!

HELP!!!

I am using 99% of my blog space! What do I do now? I don't want to delete my old posts!! Where do I go from here? I could start a new blog, but then if you want to see anything older you will have to come back to this one? That doesn't sound too fun...

Our trip to the pet factory (that's what Reygann called it)

A week and a half ago we went up to the apple orchard (not the one we went to, a local one) with Holly and Alicia. Holly had tickets to the petting zoo, wagon ride, and train and asked if we wanted to go. We jumped at the chance!

Watching the lady make carmel apples!

Now she is in the back dipping it in Heath! Too bad they were too expensive, I totally would have gotten one!

We missed the wagon ride so after waiting around it was finally our turn to go back to the apples!

It was pretty nice at home, but it was a lot colder at the orchard! We were freezing!

Alicia picking apples

Tasting the fruits of their labors

Kylie noticed that Brodys apple had a star inside! I noticed that he was eating through the core!

We wanted to pick some of the bigger apples at the top, so Holly and I tried to pull the tree down a little to reach them and couldn't. We discovered a few minutes after trying that the tree was chained to a pole!

See, chained to a pole!

After we picked a few apples (like I need more!) we headed to the petting zoo area. Brody loved the baby chicks!

The girls did too.

Then Kylie took off in the hay maze playing with a boy. I found out after they quit chasing each other around that he is in her class at school.

Brody is saying hi to the goats
Holly was smart enough to bring change so we could get food for the animals! The thought didn't even cross my mind!!
She was nice enough to share with my kiddos. Reygann like the baby goat the most!
This is the pig pen. I didn't catch on to their houses... did you?

Their houses are from the 3 little pigs! The best part all three pigs were sleeping in the brick house like they knew it was the place to be!

Petting the fuzzy wuzzy sheep (that is a sheep, right?)

Checking out the birds

Holly and Alicia feeding the cows

Reyganns turn

and Kylie's too

I was trying to keep Brody 'petting' free

Feeding the baby cows again

Aww, crap! He petted them! Oh well.

I love this, he is like 'eww, it left spit on me!'

Isn't he SO cute! I love burros!!

Except this guy was pretty mean though, he kept kicking the baby burro away!

Giving the burro a second chance

Lookin for more food

Next we checked out the bunnies

and Kylie took a tractor ride

While I was turned around taking Kylie's picture, Brody climbed out of the wagon and up onto the rabbit cage!
Alicia's turn

...and Reyganns

Brody spotted the tractor!

He LOVED the tractor, and it was VERY difficult to get him away from it.

Since he was already licked on I let him stay out of the wagon and he got to feed the baby cows too. The baby cows had a bucket of food outside their pen so it was nice to have an endless supply of free food!

Brody didn't like having his hand flat to feed them, the food kept falling through his fingers. So he tried taking one piece at a time and shoving it in their noses!

I'm pretty sure he thought it was their mouths, but either way he thought it was funny!

Silly boy

The whole gang

This is right before...
...he dumped the bucket out, oops!

Then he tried to throw the bucket out!

We headed back inside to go to the bathroom before we left and Kylie helped Brody check out the carmel apple station too.
I think it was almost 3 before we left and it took no time before Brody fell asleep in the car! It was a great time. Thanks for inviting us Holly!

My only child

Pardon the picts, they were taken on my phone! Brody is really enjoying his time being the only child while the girls are at AWANAS. This last time Daddy and I stopped to split a Starbucks, Brody ALWAYS wants the whip cream on the top so when we got to the drive through window I asked if we could have a sample cup with extra whip in it and they were happy to oblige! Brody was thrilled to have his own cup. He was so stinkin excited and kept making the funniest noises!

It is hard to tell, but there is whip everywhere! On his nose, chin, cheeks...

A big glob on his lip...

...and another on his chin!

Slurping it out. I think we are going to have to do this again sometime, he loved it!

Sleep Tight Little Guy

Brody wanted to put himself to bed... to bed in the kitchen that is.

He was serious about it laying his head down and fake snoring and all!

CHEEEESEEE!!!!! (Goober!)

He has it made

This boy has so much clothes I do know what to do with them all!!
He has this shelve full of sweater and jeans, and his dresser is bursting at the seams!
These 2 boxes are full of the next size clothes (and we haven't even gotten Harrison's hand me downs yet!)
We're running out of hangers too... I guess this is a good problem to have, huh?

Quack quack

At dinner one night Deric thought it would be a great idea to show the kids how to make a duck bill with Pringles. They thought it was great and I instantly had a bunch of quackers at my table!

Daddy showing Brody (he wouldn't let me take a picture of him doing it!)

Kylie's first attempt

Reyganns got it!

That's a little better.

Brody thought everyone was funny! It was cute to watch them all try to figure out how to do it, but now my floor is full of crumbs, oh well!

Now, THIS is what I'm talking about!

I got a call from Dad this past Thursday. He told me he raked (ok, blew) the leaves and he had a GIGANTIC pile and wanted to know if the kids could come over. (If you remember my yard we don't really have any trees, we have 1 small one in the way back, and a row of 'woods'/weeds on the side.) Last year we didn't get to play in the leaves at all, so we were excited to get to go. Dad said the pile was massive and taller than Kylie and I was like ok, sure... it may be big, but that big?! And you know what, it was!!!

Here they are seeing it for the first time

Kylie can't believe how big it is

It didn't take them long to dive in!

Can you see her?

There she is! It was super deep and it reminded me of those ball pits that are really hard to get out of.
Kylie swimming through the pile
Papoo walking into the pile with Brody

Where is the rest of Reygann?

Brody wasn't too sure about the leaf pile

See! It is HUGE!

Papoo threw the kids into the pile

Kylie went all the way down and Papoo had to rescue her!

Getting a running start
she's going down
where'd she go?
Reyganns turn

There she goes

going in sideways

and she's down!

What would a leaf pile be with out a leaf fight?!

Brody happily wandered around watching us play. Yes, us. I threw in the towel and jumped in too! It was awesome!

Papoo got in too. Actually I think he tripped or something and you really can't catch yourself on a leaf pile so down he went and the girls took advantage of the situation!

Poor Papoo! He had just taken a shower and was once again covered in leaf crumbs!

She's lovin it!

Trying to make a path

Brody finally warmed up to the leaf pile.

He wasn't about to get in though!

This face makes me laugh!

Woah! He's touching the leaves!

He actually started scooping them and throwing them! He liked trying to blow them out of his hands too.

I am still in the leaf pile at this point. I probably sat there for 5 minutes, do you know how comfy a pile of leaves is? It is very comfy! It was supportive without pressure, it was like sitting in air, and the leaves kept your body warmth so I was nice and toasty too. I would have stayed all night if I could have!

...and if the kids would have not doused me in leaves!
Silly girlie!

Is it wrong?

To dress your son in tights for the sake of staying warm?

What are boys supposed to wear? Don't worry, he didn't go out like this, he did wear his jean over the tights. Do they make long johns this small?

Pumpkin Picking

We finally got around to going to the Pumpkin patch last week. We had a nice day for it, it was a little nippy but not too bad.

Brody took off soon as his feet hit the ground

Kylie and Reygann were right behind him

He was very excited about the pumpkins, he kept shouting Pumpk! Over and over again! He kept running from one pumpkin to another he was in heaven!

The pumpkin patch got the McDonald's play land toys when they remodeled, the kids loved playing on them.

Brody was more interested in the box of tools that was right there. I don't think those were supposed to be played with though...

Kylie wanted this one!

Reygann picked out one that was a little more manageable!

Brody picked this one...

and then he wanted this one...

umm, how about this one?

Or maybe two?

You think about it, I'll leave them here, I am going to get more!

I almost have a good picture of the four of them

and almost one of the three of them, sigh.

Sweet Kylie

Concerned Brody (he isn't happy here, apparently his shirt was pulled up in the back and the leaves were scratching him, sorry buddy)

Adorable Reygann

Kylie wanted me to take her picture in the hay barn

Reygann posing

Brody HATED the hay! It must be that texture thing again.
Running from the hay barn as fast as he could!

He really liked the tractor!

The girls did too

Reygann finally decided on a pumpkin! It's just the right size for her.

Kylie in the cutout thing

and Reygann trying to be too! Brody was confused about it

Brody was driving the tractor again when a REAL tractor drove by! He was so excited, he is shouting at it in this picture, it was too cute!

He was also excited when we grabbed McDonald's for dinner! He started clapping his hands and shouting 'Fry, fry!' Usually when we drive past a MCD's he shouts 'hi fry' or 'all gone fry', hee-hee!

Brody's Baby

So these pictures are from forever ago! I'm thinking August? It was the first time Lisa brought Nathan over, Brody was beside himself! He is one baby crazy little boy! (He can spot a baby a mile away!)

So excited about holding the baby!!

Pointing out his ear

and his other ear

giving the baby a kiss

one wasn't enough, he's going in again

look at those silly puckered lips!

Baby Nate

I baby sat for Tim and Lisa the other week so they could go to a dinner at school. The kids were thrilled to have Logie and the baby over!

Trying to help Nate out

Brody trying to buckle him

Aww, giving Nate a hug

Reygann likes the baby

I think Brody wants to be the baby again

Kylie's turn

She liked having him around too, she wanted to be my big helper

Jessica stopped over to do laundry and was tying up the computer, so after Logie and Nate went to sleep there wasn't much to do so I took pictures! (What else would I do!?)

Oops! I woke him up!!

I think he is telling me he's done!

SLEEPOVER!!

I secretly published this so Jody and Jessica could see the pictures and totally forgot about it, oops! This was what, 3 weeks ago?

At Kylie's birthday party she got a bee in her bonnet about having Jessica and Jody over for a movie and sleep over. We were all cool with the idea, but said we would have to wait a bit. I figured Hunting Season would be a better time, Daddy would be gone so it would be a total girl time (Brody too). As opening weekend approached I started to make plans with Jody and Jess without telling the girls. They found out that they were coming over just a few hours before they showed up.

It wasn't long after Jody got there that the girls were wearing her big boots around the house!

Brody cheesing

Kylie striking a pose (I think she watches too much Top Model!)

We pulled out the plastic table cloth and had a picnic on the floor

Then when it was time for the movie Jessica and Jody went around destroying the beds searching for stuff to make a monkey pile, I had no clue what they were talking about! They made a massive pile out of cushions, pillows, and blankets and they dove in and snuggled down to watch Pippi Longstockings.

We had a great time, and the girls are looking forward to doing it again really REALLY soon!

Fall 'Family' Fun

The next day we went into town for a Fall Fest! This time Joan and Haven met up with us for the fun.

The girls were pulling Jody every which way, and they all wanted to hold her hand!

We decided to get in line for the hay ride right away since the line was so short. While we waited we took pictures of the kids together sitting on the hay bales.

Brody didn't like sitting on the hay bale, I don't know why. Maybe it is that texture thing again.

I couldn't help myself, I had to take a picture of them taking a picture of themselves.

Jess and Brody

I snuck this picture of the whole group. Reygann caught me, and Haven leaned back so you can only see her coat... but her baby brother/sister is in the picture still...

Yea! Finally it's our turn!

Do you really think they need to warn you to not smoke on a HAY ride?!

Like any kid if there is a curb, it MUST be walked on!

The kids got free pumpkins, Brody was holding his like this and I thought it needed a picture, it just looks like he is showing it off.
Then he tried to eat it! Just like Reygann (with my new background you can't really see the text, but if you highlight it it's easier to read, Oh and isn't she is so cute and tiny too!), he also called it an apple just like her too!
He didn't think it tasted too good!
Then it was time to get our faces painted!
I am impressed at how still they all sat!

While he was sitting there getting painted he got all excited and started shouting about milk. I wasn't sure what he was so excited about so I sat next to him to see if I could figure out what he was looking at... it was this milk jug weighing down the tent!

Reygann wanted a rainbow heart...

...and so did Kylie
and Brody got a pumpkin

Trunk or Treat

We went to a local Trunk or Treat yesterday, it was pretty small but the kids still had a great time! They looked so cute I had to snap a picture of them before we left (I should have tried for better pictures, but we were running late). We were the talk of the trunk or treat, everyone stopped us and commented on our costumes! At the end I took the girls dresses off and people were still stopping us and telling the people we were with about their outfits, it was kinda fun! We didn't get too much candy, but that is a good thing! Especially since we have a few more trunk or treats to go still!

Queen Kylie

Princess Reygann

and Sir Brody the Brave

The Royal Court

Kylie got bonked in the head a few times, but she was a good sport about it!
Waiting for our turn on the trolley

We had to leave our horse in the corral while we were on our ride

The girls got their faces painted again, this time they both had flowers. Reyganns dress is really tight going over her head and since we were going to be leaving I took their dresses off before their faces got done so it wouldn't smudge on them. They are waiting in line for the bounce house here, it was really nice there was no time limit so the girls stayed in for forever!

Brody didn't really seem interested in going in, he just sat there playing with his candy! You know how Kings in movies pick up their money and then drop it all back into the pile over and over again? That is what Brody kept doing with his candy!

Hi Mom!

Playing with the candy was getting a little old so I gave him some skittles! Oh man, he was a fan of them!

Time for Slippers!

Burrr! it's cold!
Since it is apparently chilly in the house I dug around for the kids slippers. Brodys didn't fit this year so I gave him Reyganns Elmo slippers to wear.
He really liked them, but walked odd at first trying to get used to them.

Showing them off for me.
Reygann got to wear Kylie's Strawberry Shortcake slippers

Oh my goodness!! They are standing next to each other and no one is crying or hurting the other one! Reygann even has her arm around Brody, whoa!

Mommy is wearing her slippers too

Feeding Ya-ya

I'm not sure when, but somewhere along the way you started calling Elmo Ya-ya. You used to say something that used to sound like Elmo but not any more. I think you call him Ya-ya because he sings La la, la la Elmos world... Anyways you decided to share your lunch with him! I think you and your new slippers are good friends!

Another Bite

You read it right, Reygann has another mosquito bite! This one isn't nearly as bad at the last one, but I still feel for her. This bite is lower on her face so her cheek is swelled up instead of her eye. She looks so different it is funny.

Kylie got a nice one too! Her leg is all swelled up, my poor girls!

Potty Time

Brody has been interested in the potty for quite some time now. He tells me all the time he has to go, and lets me know for sure when he is dirty! I finally pulled out the potty seat and he has really taken to it! He has gone potty on the toilet a few times, but nothing consistent. I'm not expecting much the girls were easy... but I've heard boys are a different story! So we are taking things slow and at his pace...

He is cheering for himself! He went poopie!

Kylie Appleseed

Kylie has been studying trees at school, right now they are specifically talking about apple trees. They have been doing apple pages at school and learning about all the different parts of the apple. They also read stories about apples and they even planted a crab apple tree right out side of their classroom window. Now they can watch the tree change all year. They even went on a field trip to the apple orchard and made apple sauce as a class!

Kylie got a reward certificate for being such a good listener

And Mommy got one too for donating stickers to her class!

First Night of Awanas

This post is a little late, but late is better than never!

Kylie's vest is back ordered so all we have is her bag, she is a first year Spark this year! (She seems so old!)

And my Reygann is a first year Cubbie!! She is very excited to finally be able to go!

Reygann and one of her leaders.

I scream, You scream, Brody screams for ice cream!

We dropped the girls off at AWANA's and we were once again parents of only 1! So as a special treat we took him out for ice cream!! We even let him have his own cone!

It wasn't long before he wasn't paying attention and dipped his hair in his cone.

Daddy did his best to clean it out

Just like daddy

This is my CHEESE face, it makes my mommy laugh

He wasn't sure what to think about the cone. He would take a bite and then make his yucky noise and spit it out! It took a little to convince him the cone wasn't yucky!

Mooches!

Time Out!

Brody is finally old enough for a time out, and he needed one badly! I wasn't sure how it was going to go, but I plopped him down anyways.

...and he sat there devastated!

but he did stay there! The whole time, I was so impressed!

He makes the best faces when he cries!

Seriously?
Uh-oh
He is starting to loose it
There it went! Sometimes it is just too hard to stay crabby!

Am I done yet?

Girls Time Out

The girls have been in stinker mode lately, usually when it comes to nap time. Today they decided that they didn't need one despite what I said. I tried everything but they have mommy AND daddy's stubborn streak!! So I made them stay in bed till daddy came home (the time they usually wake up) and I didn't let them play with anything. They ate dinner and spent the rest of the evening watching us playing with Brody while they sat against the wall.

It didn't really seem to bother Kylie too much

But Reygann was devastated!! Seriously it was torture, hopefully it did the trick!
