This will take you back

Does anyone remember some of these?

Joan and Amanda getting high on Tide (it was Tide, right?) in the laundry room at camp? I remember finding a swimsuit behind the washer and fighting over who got to keep it.

Adam and Kevin wearing garbage bag togas (remember adam is holding?)

Some of the guys from the 'other' youth group

How 'bout this one Michelle? We thought we were hot stuff taking these glamor shots of ourselves!

Awww, Manda and Doug!

Look at you hot stuff!

Marlana and Dave

And Joan and Amanda once again sniffing something! Who did these belong to anyways?

Michelle and I at my birthday party... man do I wish you could see my outfit behind the sweatshirt!! (this is also a picture of the reason why I have bangs, ewww). Then Chris and Jeremy

And I think this last one almost looks like Michelle and Kaden

Amanda and I taking a break from the dining hall

And me, dad is taking my picture so I could see how dumb my hair looks. We took pictures in both directions like a mug shot, and I actually loved the one of me facing forward (I can't find it though...) I must say it was very well crafted hair, it may look dumb (but it was the style!) but it was a very well done dumb hair doo!

House Update

I realized last night that I haven't given a house update in a while granted there hasn't been a lot of change since the last one but the house is looking more and more like home. I am still figuring out where things go and I am still getting things hung up. Sunday Deric did my picture wall for me (picture below), and yesterday he hung up some pictures upstairs and hung my quilt rack. I still have NO IDEA what I am going put on the wall opposite of the quilt rack. I have a picture that I am going to put there (you can kinda see it leaning on the back of the couch in the second to last picture), but the wall is so big it needs more than just the one picture and I have looked a few times at my favorite places and I still have NOTHING!!! I found one shelve but the shelve alone was $179! It was made from an old antique door, I can't afford that and if I could I wouldn't have money left over to put something on it!! So I am still lost on what to do.

I love my tile, I loved it in the box but once it was on the wall it totally changed the look of the kitchen and it kinda went in the wrong direction of where I was thinking it would go in my head. I love it again now that more and more things are getting pulled together it is blending in like I thought it would.

We still haven't purchased bar stools yet, who knew they cost so much (we want 5 of them)! So for right now we are just using some we already had. The metal doesn't go with the style of the house and there are vintage cars on the seat that really don't go!

My picture wall is on the very left and you can just see it in this picture. I don't have the pictures printed yet since I figured the wall out on Sunday so the pictures that are going in there I just printed up and stuck in the frame.

Deric got around to carpeting the stairs Saturday, it is very nice to have carpeted stairs! Who knew that would make such a huge difference! The best part is Brody can play upstairs now because when they weren't carpeted he would go up them but not down so I couldn't leave him up there. The rest of the stairs are in the old side of the house so I have to pick him up to the bottom of the stairs, but after that he is on his own.

Kylie's School Program

This past Friday was the Winter Jubilee for Kylie's school. She was so excited about singing in it, it was so cute she knew all the songs they sang, even the ones her class wasn't singing, she knew the song for every single class! She is the smallest kid in her class the poor baby. She did a great job sitting through the whole program (they sang oldest class to youngest class) she kept peeking at us as waving.

It's too bad that she was stuck behind the microphone her face is shadowed in all the pictures.

After the big kids were done with their songs they took a bow, Kylie has been talking about bowing for weeks now. Her class didn't bow, but Kylie did!

But then her class left the stage and she was standing there not really sure what to do or which way to go

Then someone (I'm not sure of her name) who was leading the next kids on pointed Kylie in the right direction
and she went running off the stage!
Then the whole school sang again

This is all of the kids in the school (the last 2 pictures)
Kylie and her teacher
and with the teachers aid
She gave Kylie her belt and Kylie was uber excited about that!!

Odds and Ends

I have a bunch of random pictures so I decided to make a post of them.

I don't know if you can tell but the girls wanted to have princess glitter on them so I figured why not and I doled it out. I have had the glitter forever (from Prom or something I think) and I usually let them wear some when playing dress up. But lately they have been getting dressed up in their regular clothes with jewelry purses, and glitter. They loved it.

One of the girls new chores is helping with the laundry, more specifically sorting the socks. This can be a daunting task with 5 family members and with the girls and daddy each having at least 3 different stlyes of socks each, it is a lot of socks (with daddy working outside his socks often get wet and he goes through about 3 pairs everyday)! They also put their laundry away but I only just started having them help with the folding (I always did this during nap time because of the lack of space).

Reygann found her swimsuit when we were moving stuff to the other side of the house and so proudly put it on all by herself! It's backwards, but she did it herself.

Kylie got a Pippi Longstocking dvd for Christmas and both girls are Pippi crazy! I actually enjoy watching it too, it brings me back! Of course the girls both wanted hair like Pippi so I did the best I could. I didn't have anything around so after I braided Kylie's hair I fished some electrical wire through it to make them stick out. Reygann wasn't so lucky, I was impressed that I was able to get braids in, tiny braids, but they were still in. I didn't try to make them stick out, they kinda did a little because of how short they were.

Little Lovebug

Isn't he just the sweetest?? What a happy boy!

Peek-A-Boo!

This was back on the old side of the house when we weren't eating at a table... anyways Brody finally got into the game of peek a boo. Not sure why it took him so long but before he could have really cared less! Of course just like the girls he started out playing with his hands on his ears instead of his eyes! I have goofy children, I know!

Then he started being silly and was stuck on his tongue for a bit, tongues are so fun you know.

What a goober!

Brody's Dollhouse

Brody loves playing with Reyganns dollhouse. It is the kind of dollhouse that has things you can push and it makes noise, Brody will lay on the floor forever pushing the spot over and over again.
