Say a prayer

Hey guys, my in-laws were on 2 week motorcycle trip and got into an accident in Wyoming. They are in the hospital right now and they are hurt, but not in serious condition. Papaw has a concussion and broken ribs along with a nice case of road rash, and Mamaw has a broken arm along with road rash too. That is all that we know at this point, and we will be heading out tonight with the truck and trailer to get them. Please say a prayer for them and for safety as we travel there and back.

Kylie and Brody's latest thing is when one of them cries the other comes running and gives them a hug till they feel better. Isn't that so sweet? While in this position Brody often takes the opportunity to yank up Kylie's shirt and blow on her belly (zerbert). This usually changes the mood from crying and crabby, to laughing and happy!

The girls beds are finished! Before I paint I need to fill the nail holes and stuff. One of us thinks the cracks between the slats should be filled in too, the other does not. What do you guys think? The first headboard has the largest gap in the middle, but if we fill one we fill them all. So I included a picture of each piece (if you click them they are easier to see).

Kylie's first day of kindergarten

This is how I found the girls this morning! Isn't it too sweet! This is the first time I have caught them together. I guess Reygann got up in the middle of the night and couldn't put her blankets on so she climbed in with Kylie. I snapped the picture and quickly shut the door, Reygann sat up and said 'What was that?' and laid back down and went back to sleep!

After I showered I went in there to wake them up and Reygann was a grins!

Kylie's School Open House

Kylie and her Kindergarten teacher

The theme of the year is racing! One thing they are doing is having a 'driver of the week' which showcases 1 student a week. Bad thing is I need to make a poster board like this for Kylie (I'll be asking for suggestions on what to do at a later date!)

The teacher handed out little bags with meaningful little treats inside along with a checkered flag.

I don't know how I didn't see this when I first came in the room!! It is too funny!

She found her locker!

Kylie has the last locker this year, or the first, I guess it depends on how you look at it...

After the open house and meeting her teacher we took her to DQ!

Kylie and daddy were racing to see who could finish first. Kylie was doing a great job keeping up with him, and she was showing daddy that her mouth was big as his!

Aww, my big girl! *sniff*

She gave herself a ice cream headache! Gotta hate that! Now she is showing daddy how cold her lips are. Oh yeah, the best part... when we were getting in the car Kylie's new teacher pulled up and remembered us and said hi and talked to us for a minute telling Kylie that she couldn't wait till Wednesday! Seriously that is amazing, she met us for a few minutes along with 20+ other families! She is very sweet, and we are very excited about tomorrow!!!

This is one of those crazy things Daddy does with the kids, but this time he did it a few too many times. Oops, poor Brody!

Helping Daddy

We finally got our last draw (3 1/2 months later) and Deric has started back to work on the inside again. Brody loves going over there to help daddy, and there really is no keeping him out since there is just plastic covering the doorway. He has a thing with the hammer right now, he goes around banging it on stuff saying 'knock knock'. I don't know where that came from, but I thought it was cute. Daddy doesn't think it is as cute since everytime he turns around he is missing tools!

Stickers!

Lately we have been into making pictures. Mostly it is all stickers and cutting. My Aunt used to do lots of scrapbooking and gave me a ton of stickers and crinkly scissors (Hi Aunt Cindy!) The girls are in heaven!! And I have too many pictures to display! I keep trying to get them to give them to someone, but they don't want to.



Even Brody got into it, granted he was getting a little irritated with the stickers sticking to himself! He even colored a little, usually he just wants to play with the crayons or color on not allowed items! Usually I don't even give him the chance. Regardless he love it!
