Our Tree

I thought it would be a good idea to bring the tree in and get the lights on it while the kids were sleeping (1. so they wouldn't be in our way, 2. so they would be surprised) so we worked on that Saturday while they were napping. When Kylie woke up I made sure the tree was on and when she came out her reaction was great. She threw her arms up, clapped her hands over her mouth and said "Oh, My, Goodness... It Is So Beautiful!" It was so sweet, she kept bending her knees going up and down (picture Miss America right after she found out she won) "The lights are so pretty, It is SO beautiful" Imagine what her reaction would have been if we had finished it (only the lights were on at this time). Reygann woke up a few minutes later and when she came out she just stared at it (she is usually groggy when she wakes up) she mumbled something, but I never did figure out what it was that she said. I think it was Sunday afternoon that the 4 of us finally put the decorations on, I don't think it looks too bad. (Yes, the tree is blocking our front door, Deric ripped out the sidewalk, porch and steps so the door really does us no good right now. He suggested putting the tree there instead of rearranging the room (...again!), oh the joys of living in a teeny tiny house!!)

What a cute reaction! As you know we got an artificial tree this year. And per usual, we didn't measure. We never measure anything!! Anyway, we had to rearrange things (stuck one table in a back room) to make it fit. It was a little ridiculous but that's how we work!

Yeah, Christmas with the kids is a blast! Makes it so much more fun! We really enjoyed cutting our tree down this year, unfortunately it turns out I'm allergic to it! =0
