Tree Hunting

As tradition goes we went out Friday to get a Christmas tree. We went back to our usual hunting grounds Kingma Christmas Tree Farm (I like it, Deric thinks it is too far away). It was such a beautiful day, I couldn't believe how nice it was. But it was odd to see the girls playing in the dirt instead of the snow! It was a good thing it was nice though, I pulled out the girls boots and Reygann's are a bit big and was having a hard time walking in them. (I tested them while we were all outside working on the house) and Reygann took them off and walked down the (stone) driveway and gave them back to me so she was just going to have to wear her regular shoes. It seemed to take forever to find a tree this year, the girls had more fun doing their own thing then hunting down a great tree. Kylie found them both sticks and they had fun drawing in the dirt.
Reygann was having a terrible time walking with the stumps and underbrush and would sit and wait for you to hold her hand and help her along.. She kept hugging the trees and giving them kisses.. she is such a little lovie! Oh yeah, the best part... Reygann told us she had to go poopie!! Yippie!! Humm, where do we go? You guessed it, mommy dug a hole with her shoe and over it she went!! I was just praying she didn't do a "Jody" (Jody went pee-pee on dad many years ago while Christmas tree hunting!). Once we finally found our tree Reygann sat on the stump of a nearby tree and Kylie danced around her singing 'here we go around the mulberry bush' while Daddy cut it down.
Brody slept pretty much the whole time, he finally woke up as we were waiting for the hay ride to bring us back to the barn. It was a long day, and all three kids fell asleep on the way home.
All in all I think it was a great day, the girls had a fun time, and mommy and daddy got some peanut brittle from the holly shop... what more could you want?
