Havin' fun

The girls are having a great time playing with all of the baby things. Kylie and Reygann were talking turns swinging on the swing, and Reygann turned over and started to tickle Kylie and blow raspberries on her tummy! It was so cute to hear all the squeals and giggles...I think Reygann was laughing just as hard as Kylie! I don't think there is a sound that compares with childrens laughter.

Not what I had in mind...

The girls found another way to play with their toy... Not that you can tell from the picture, but Kylie is giving Reygann and her baby a ride to church! They take turns pulling each other around our house 'traveling' to different places.

Grandma Murphy

Grandma Murphy's doctor wouldn't let her visit us in the hospital, so she made a special trip out to our house to meet her new great grandson. Kylie was so excited to see her, she kept shouting

New Toy

I finally remembered to pull out the baby nursery toy for the girls. They are always all over me 'helping' with Brody so I thought that pulling it out now might give me a bit of breathing room and they can baby their babies now. They had a good time playing with it and it really kept them occupied, it's nice that there are three stations so they can each have one and there is still another to spare!

Kylie really liked the bed, she would put her baby to sleep give her a kiss, and would even sing to her.

Reygann likes the highchair the best.. she loves feeding the baby... and herself!

Great Grandpa's Cradle

Brody's first time sleeping in the cradle that Great Grandpa Wilson made. Everyone in our family has slept in it, Deric and his sister slept in it when they were little. Deric's sisters kids all slept in it and ours too. And I am sure that some day our kids children will also sleep in it.

Holding Brody

We FINALLY thought to ask Reygann if she wanted to hold Brody! She said 'Yep!' and put her arms out. I wish we had remembered sooner. She did a good job holding him, and even snuck a few kisses!

What a cutie pie!

Reygann was a bit confused, and kept calling the pumpkins 'apples'. At one point she even tried to eat it, yuck! What a silly girl! We plan on painting them this weekend, so check back for those pictures!

Reygann, Reygann, Reygann...

What am I going to do with little Miss Reygann!? The silly girl climbed into the cradle when mommy wasn't looking, and scared the crap out of herself! You can't tell from the pictures but the cradle is swinging wildly from side to side and she did NOT like that! It finally slowed down enough that she jumped out... Hopefully she learned her lesson!

One down, a lifetime more to go...

I have the first week alone with the kids under my belt! I was really wondering how this was going to work. The odds really weren't in my favor (3 to 1) but it went really smooth, I even took everyone out a few times! Reygann posed a few problems when we were out because she didn't want to hold mine or Kylie's hand. I wanted to hang on to Kylie so she would keep up with us, but the only hand I had free was trying to hang on to Reygann. Sometimes Reygann would hold Kylie's hand, but then she would want to hold her own hand, what a goofball!! Hopefully we will work these kinks out soon!

Brody is just an amazing baby! He has put himself on a 3 hour schedule at night , you can set your clock by him. I thought both girls were good babies, but so far he is the best! I don't think he has cried yet unless he was hungry. There were a few nights we were trying to put the girls down and they just wouldn't stay asleep. We thought we were going to die. Brody, on the other hand, eats and goes right back to sleep (so far). I am usually back to bed in 15 minutes! I hope he keeps this up, I can deal with this!

The girls are doing really well with him too. Right now he has a blocked tear duct and I am having a hard time keeping their hands off of him (because they always want to play with him). He was fussing and Kylie wanted to hold him (while crying) and she kept softly talking to him 'it's ok Brody' 'hush hush' 'do you want a toy?' She even took a key rattle he had, put it in his hand and said, 'here's your toy', and then put the key part in his mouth which did make him quiet... for a minute. At that point I fed him and made all things better. I was really impressed with how well she did with him. When we first brought him home every time he would cry she would cover her ears and say that he was too loud, and that he was hurting her ears! Reygann still hasn't tried to hold him, but she is always helping us burp him. We haven't asked her if she wants to hold him again either... so you never know maybe she has warmed up to the idea by now.

Kylie wanted to see his feet and when daddy showed her she 'taught' him This Little Piggy.
The hospital has a celebration steak dinner for you after you have the baby.. we had mom and dad drop off the kids for a bit and our dinner arrived 10 minutes after they left! Lucky for us Joan and Billy stopped by and took the girls to play with Harrison and Haven so we didn't have to share all of our dinner!

Big Sisters

Reygann checking out her brother. Soon as she walked into our room she saw him and said baby and went up to him and checked him out. She doesn't want to hold him, but she will give him tons of kisses!

Kylie is so happy that her 'baby brother boy' is finally here!! She too was full of kisses and couldn't wait to hold him!
