Happy 4th!

Alright, here's the story... I accidentally uploaded all of these into one post and it is being too much of a pain to try to put them in the right order so I have them in the right groups, but not in the right order in the groups. Sorry, you'll just have to deal with it!

CP Fireworks

Brody was intrigued by the sparklers

Just chilling...

There were a couple explosions on the ground that started things off, way cool!

Brody didn't think so, the explosions scared him, but he loved the fireworks!

The storm is coming... all the smoke was blowing this way and everything was hazy. The fireworks were right overhead and some hot ashes even landed on someones blanket 2 families down from us!



This was cool, the actually had fireworks floating on the water or something like that.

It's raining! (do you see the red heart?)

This is us piled up in the back of the truck TRYING to stay dry. We all jumped inside when it started to pour, it was a little cramped but we tried to watch the best we could, then we wrestled the kids into their jammies... still raining... we waited a bit more and ended up just running for it. (We were in the back of the pickup, my car was parked right in front of the truck, and that is where the car seats were.) I was sucking fumes so we couldn't have the car running so it was hot humid and foggy in the car, not pleasant! We kept opening the windows to let fresh air in... but it also let in the rain! Eventually I stuck my umbrella out the window so we could get some air without getting wet! There was a few inches of water we were parked right by the lake so all the water was running our way... Deric even saw some abandoned elephant ears float by!! After waiting out the rain (and the traffic) Deric made a dash for the pickup and we went home, what a day!

Things I found amusing...

You can't really see it but this motorcycle plate is handicap! How do you have a handicap liscence plate on a motorcycle!! Doesn't see too safe to me.

These people do fireworks in style... maybe next year we'll bring our couch!

The girls were drawing the in dirt while we were waiting for it to get dark... that ended up being not the best idea!!

Brody just started eating fruit and cereal bars, he likes them and enjoys making a mess... he must be learning from Reygann!

So I caught Brody chewing on something (as always) and I was quite a surprise to pull a tooth out of his mouth! Yes, a tooth!

Isn't that gross!! Apparently the cat lost his tooth somewhere and Brody found it and tried to eat it, so disgusting!

Still Busy

Yet another busy day... The girls were napping and I was trying to wash dishes but Brody kept getting into stuff (all these pictures were taken in a 45 minute time period).

I caught him playing in the closet...

So I gave him his ball so he wouldn't tear through the closet

It was cute watching him chase after it. He was playing so well with it I went back to the dishes...

I looked over my shoulder into the family room and caught Brody up here! Doesn't he look so proud!

Oops! I think he needs a bit more practice, poor little guy had quite a face plant!

After a few minutes he was getting concerned about how he was going to get down...

after a few attempts he finally got his hand to the floor...

and his legs soon followed.

Clapping his hands for himself, he's so proud! I'm glad I stuck it out and waited for him to figure out how to get down.
