Sunny days, taking the clouds away...
Daddy and the kiddos.
We brought our umbrellas in case it rained. Kylie used hers before the parade started to keep the sun away.
Kylie loved this doggie, he waved to her.
Please rain, please rain...
Oh man, no rain!
Brody got really tired and zoned out mid-parade
Sweet sisters dancing to the music
Reygann loved this red flower
...and she loved this 'hole' it was just her size!
It's TOO loud
It scared her when the cannon went off and she hid behind daddy
Waving
These might have been the favorites
Another picture of Daddy and the kiddos
Stracks gave out popsicles what a refreshing treat!
Kylie liked Reyganns flower and picked one for herself too
He finally fell asleep
Just having fun
CANDY!!!
Waiting for the parade to start
Bubba making faces at Brody
CP Fireworks
CP Fireworks
Brody was intrigued by the sparklers
There were a couple explosions on the ground that started things off, way cool!
Fireworks, fireworks, fireworks
The storm is coming... all the smoke was blowing this way and everything was hazy. The fireworks were right overhead and some hot ashes even landed on someones blanket 2 families down from us!
This was cool, the actually had fireworks floating on the water or something like that.
It's raining! (do you see the red heart?)
REALLY raining!
This is us piled up in the back of the truck TRYING to stay dry. We all jumped inside when it started to pour, it was a little cramped but we tried to watch the best we could, then we wrestled the kids into their jammies... still raining... we waited a bit more and ended up just running for it. (We were in the back of the pickup, my car was parked right in front of the truck, and that is where the car seats were.) I was sucking fumes so we couldn't have the car running so it was hot humid and foggy in the car, not pleasant! We kept opening the windows to let fresh air in... but it also let in the rain! Eventually I stuck my umbrella out the window so we could get some air without getting wet! There was a few inches of water we were parked right by the lake so all the water was running our way... Deric even saw some abandoned elephant ears float by!! After waiting out the rain (and the traffic) Deric made a dash for the pickup and we went home, what a day!

Things I found amusing...
Deric liked the jeeps climbing on each other
Would you vote for this person with the crapily painted signs? Humm...

Looks like so much fun! It makes me miss the Midwest so much! I would have picked up the floating elepahnt ears to eat! Nobody has even heard of elephant ears out here....it's tragic!
Looks like you all had a blast. It never rained here though on any day what a bummer for you all.
