Wow!

I'm at the car dealership right now getting my car serviced and I am so impressed with their Internet! This must be what 'real' Internet is like... it is so fast, I can't even keep up with it! I think what usually takes me an hour to do at home I just did in 5 minutes! While holding Brody!! We might have to join this club! I love getting my car serviced here.. we have to go to a dealership because of the warranty and most of them are a pain to go to cause there isn't much for the kids to do, and the waiting room is right in the middle of the showroom. This one has its own waiting room that has a door that closes, toys for the kids, there is even Starbucks coffee and the Internet! I should just come here every few days to get my online stuff done! I thought I was going to have plenty of things to check out online, but since it is so fast I might have to come up with something else to do! Maybe I'll go shopping on EBay!

First you need to decide what you want to eat for dinner, and then get out your phonebook look up the number and dial. Tell them exactly what you want to eat for dinner, give them your address and hang up. Next you do something relaxing while you wait for your dinner to ‘cook’. When you doorbell rings check to see if it’s your dinner answer the door and pay the delivery guy and enjoy! For the easiest cleanup use on paper plates. You can substitute menus for many variations on this meal.

Yippie, Reygann went poopy on the potty!! Oh wait... my bad, she went poopy ON the potty! At least she is getting closer, right?

Verhagen Christmas

Last night we got together with the Verhagen side for Christmas. It was good to see everyone again, I think it is kinda funny how far our Christmas has come.. we used to meet in someones house and have the whole spread.. then we moved to a church.. and now we get together in a school gymnasium and just order pizza! The girls had a good time running around with my cousins kids... I thought for sure they would pass out on the way home, but they didn't.. they didn't even fall asleep right away when we got home! They were both up until 11:30!! (Thanks to Becky for keeping them supplied with cookies!!) Brody was just being Brody and fell asleep at some point and I put him in his stroller... we were sitting around talking and Joan noticed that the stroller was rocking. He's still too little to make the stroller move by wiggling around in there and Joan said it looked like he was kicking the wall.. now I know he is long for his age, but he isn't THAT long! I jumped up and grabbed the blanket off the stroller and sure enough he had scooted himself half out of the stroller!! Being the picture freak I am I said don't let him fall... I need to get my camera!! I'm terrible, aren't I?!

Not Too Much Done

Well Deric and Monte worked again on Saturday.. unfortunately they didn't seem to get too much done. They actually accomplished a lot, you just can't tell it. They worked on setting some new drain tile to take care of our 'waterfall' (and there has always been a drainage problem in the yard so that too) it goes from the back of the house all the way to the street, so by the time they got that done it was too late to work on the hole. I guess Monte is coming back tomorrow to move our septic tank so he can dig out the garage.. I would guess that he is going to finish the hole before he starts the septic, but who knows really!! Deric is downstairs/outside right now putting in the plumbing for the new tank, hopefully it will be a smooth transition to the new septic... I hope we can get this over with soon!! I want to keep this moving along!!!

Revenge!

It has finally happened... after years of hunting them the deer have turned and started to hunt him. Deric hit his first deer Friday night (if he didn't want to go Christmas shopping with me he could have just said so!) It didn't do too much damage, but we haven't had it checked out yet, so who knows how much this might cost!! I personally think it was a plot to take him out with a suicide attacker he's been after them for years and it's time they turned the tables on him!

Getting Better..

Here is the latest on our mud pit. This is what it looked like they day we got all the rain...

It was over a foot deep, so Deric went out there and hooked up a sump pump to drain it out.. that worked pretty well so we let it run for the night when I got up it was pretty much empty.

I shut it off and took a shower.. when I got out of the shower it was filling up again!! It seems like there is a drain tile in the yard that is emptying right into our hole.. it is seriously like a waterfall! I don't it has rained in days and it is still pouring out the water.

Last night Deric went out there again and put another sump pump directly under our waterfall.. (he put the pump in a sump pump bucket thing, so the bucket would contain the water) and that is working out great. There is still wet in the bottom of the hole but basically just puddles everywhere. Looks like his job for this weekend is to get the drain tile moved so we don't have this waterfall problem anymore!

Bible Help

I thought I knew the Christmas story pretty good, but I just can't find it in the Bible where Santa visits baby Jesus!! Anybody have the reference for that one?!

Who's the Grinch??

This morning I am trying to get out of the house (on time) and Brody is SUPER tired and wasn't happy in the swing or bouncy seat.. I kept trying to pacify him but I had to get ready, so I sat him on the couch and he was good for a minute then he started to fuss. Reygann came in holding the Grinch and said Brody Ginch and I said sure and she ran off. He got quiet and so I went to check on him a minute later.. and there he was sucking on the Grinch's face!! You can't really tell from the pictures but he really had it in there! He was smacking at it with his hands and making the cutest sucking noises. Apparently he really likes it! Many thanks to Aunt Maggie who bought it for him!! The girls really liked the book too (She bought them the book and corresponding characters) Kylie was a bit worried when the Grinch was stealing all the Christmas stuff, but I convinced her to stay and let me finish the story!

Can you see the Grinch hair in his hands... he was pawing at it so much he was pulling some of the hair out!

St Nick Day

Ok, so St Nickolas Day was over a week ago... I've been busy! I don't really have much to say about it.. I'm pretty tired. We give the kids their Christmas jammies on St Nick Day so that way they get to wear them longer (they used to open them on Christmas Eve). Joan read the story of St Nick to the kids and then we put their shoes under the tree (yes, I know it isn't accurate.. they are supposed to be outside the door.. work with us here!) and ate dinner. By the time dinner was over the shoes were full!! Here's a bunch of pictures...
