Follow The Yellow Brick Road...

We decided on the Wizard of Oz theme for this year Kylie was Glinda, Reygann was Dorthy, and Brody was the Cowardly Lion. Hre are a few pictures of our first two times out. I think Reygann looks a lot like Joan in these! And everyone says she looks just like daddy!

We went to Joans house to trick or treat on the bike trail in Crete and Jody and Boz come with... man am I glad they did!! Reygann was a CRAZY lady running all over the place!!! It was very cold and windy but Kylie being a true girl didn't want to put her coat on untill the trick or treat was over... you can't cover her pretty dress!!! Reyganns put her coat on right away, but man, was her nose red!

Curly Q

I love Reygann's crazy curly hair. It usually doesn't stay curly for long so I thought I'd get some pictures right away.. don't you love her silly faces!

Daddy's blanket

Brody's taking a snooze in the bouncy seat with one of daddy's old blankets. I have this blanket and some other stuff that Deric used when he was a baby, the girls got to use some of my stuff so I had to make sure that Brody got some of daddy's. (PS. Deric was a 70's child... keep your eyes out for some of his old outfits!)

1 Month Old

Yesterday Brody turned 1 month old. Just like with the girls I put the hospital shirt on him and took pictures in our usual spot... Here's a few of them, I love his goofy face and squishy cheeks!

Kylie's hair cut

Kylie had her hair cut for the first time this weekend. Mamaw (Deric's mom) did the trimming for us. We pretty much cleaned up the ends and layered the bottom a bit, but it really seems like we took off a lot!




Here is Kylie showing off her haircut. When we were all done and Kylie saw the hair on the floor she asked why Mamaw threw all her hair on the floor! What cute things they come up with! Reygann climbed up on the chair and wanted to show off hers too... we didn't cut her hair, but I let her pretend. So here are her 'after' shots too!

Long weekend

Sorry I didn't update sooner, we had a busy weekend. Deric was gone hunting so the girls and I stayed busy. I got most of my Christmas shopping for the girls done (yippie!) and there are just a few stray things I need to pick up. Lisa came over Friday night and we worked on our scrapbooks while the kids were sleeping. It was also the first time she got to hold Brody!

Creepy Update

I talked to the Parole Agent and she said that they were going to deny his parole since he doesn't have a place to go right now. So that is good news for me, for now. But during our conversation it came up that he had escaped in the past (Oh, GREAT) and that had something to do with him being in there. So it looks like we are safe for now! :0)

Ok I don't think creepy is the right word... maybe unsettling is a better one? I came home this afternoon to find a letter in my door from the Department of Correction Parole Office... it says "The following offender from Indiana Department of corrections has submitted your name and address as where he would like to reside once paroled... " The letter really isn't for us, but it's for the lady that we purchased our house from.. but the address is still the same and knowing that a guy that has been incarcerated knows where I live and doesn't know that whoever it is that he is looking for isn't here anymore (I think it may be a wife/ex-wife because they have the same last name, but you'd think if it was a wife he would know where she lives!) kinda weirds me out. What makes it really bothersome is that Deric is hunting so I am alone during the weekends.. ...So if any of you want to have a slumber party let me know!!!

Mashed Potatoes!

Can you tell that Reygann just loves her mashed potatoes! She is crazy about them just like mommy... except mommy is a little cleaner when she eats them!

Pumpkin Painting

We finally remembered early enough to pull out the paint and paint our pumpkins! The girls had a great time and it didn't take Reygann too long to realize that painting herself was just as fun as painting the pumpkin!

Here is Kylie with her finished pumpkin, and Reygann with her finished body paint! She was actually messier than she appears... I am very glad I made them strip down before we started!
