Happy Birthday Reygann!!

We had a Elmo themed party, Elmo was everywhere. I made her an Elmo cake and when my mom saw it she asked me if it would be enough for everyone... I didn't even think about that! So I whipped out some Elmo cupcakes a few hours before the party. Shew! They didn't turn out too bad...

It was pretty cute, soon as she blew out the candles she said "Now we eat cake!!" That girl knows how it goes! I'm two!

I figured with all the kids around it might be a good idea to have something for them to do... I packed up all our Elmo toys, books, and puzzles to keep with our theme. I made a 'tape the nose on Elmo' game for the kids too. Everyone did a good job... Reygann was the cutest though... we put the blindfold on her and told her to not look and to put the nose on, and she did... on herself! That got a big laugh, and Harrison thought he would give it a try too!

It's a 'murphy'!! Reygann ALWAYS wants Kylie's murphy blanket and now she has her own! (Kylie's murphy blanket is a blanket Great Gramma Murphy made for her last Christmas ('05) I guess she calls it a murphy because that is how she knew how to describe it back then and the name just stuck.)

I would have to say that the most memorable part of the party (for me) had nothing to do with the birthday girl... it was when Kylie threw up on me! She went and sat in Papoo's lap and said she didn't feel so good (and she didn't look it either) so he called me over and said that she wasn't feeling so good so I picked her up and took her to the bathroom. Harrison almost got a lap full because he was going to the bathroom (he left the door open, I didn't barge in on him!) So I swung around to the sink and she started to puke, it was all over my neck down the front and back of me, it was quite gross! I was picking/rinsing food chunks for some time, I even had to wash out my earings because there was pieces stuck in them! About 5 minutes later she was fine again running around and playing, I am pretty sure she was spinning around or something like that, and that is why she got sick, lets hope it was that and not the food!!

Getting back to 'normal'

Hopefully things will start to calm down over here... My birthday is over and Reygann's birthday is almost over... so hopefully I will be less busy in the days to come. Last night we had Reygann's birthday party at my parents house (we don't have enough room here) It was a fun time, Reygann was so sweet. I hope to post pictures later tonight... (the Superbowl is on... I'll need something to do!!) Deric and Billy worked on the house again yesterday... no pictures though... It was 9 degrees out -18 with wind chill, burrr... I wasn't about to go out if I didn't have to! They didn't work too long Billy was the only other guy that showed up so there wasn't much for the 2 of them to do in the freezing cold that wouldn't be easier to do with 5 guys so they built the front and back walls and removed some of our existing siding and got things ready for next weekend.

Apparently my IQ is 132 and yet I still can't get the link to show up! Some good the 132 does me!! I don't care what Erin says... I'll take the 132!!

A Lot Done

Billy came over this past Saturday to help Deric and the guys got a lot done. They set all the trusses and laid the decking! I climbed up and actually walked around... pretty cool... and small... I'm wondering if we made it big enough! I think we're ok though! Joan and kids came over mid-morning and hung out till we fed the guys lunch. It was great of Billy to come help it sure made the work go faster! Right now everything in under a tarp (because of the snow) but hopefully they will open it up and work on it this Saturday (it is supposed to be COLD so who knows, I wouldn't want to be out there!)

Umm.... happy birthday?

So it's my birthday... could have fooled me it seems like just another day. Too bad, I remember when I was little the whole day was great! Brody woke up a few extra times in the middle of the night, the girls have been not too happy, and I had to go to the grocery store for Reyganns birthday... ohh it seems so special! I guess that is what happens when you get older! At least I am feeling better today... I got a cold this weekend that knocked me on my butt!! I didn't even get on the computer for the last two days I have been feeling so lousy! I am still not great, but feeling much better, I actually washed my face this morning without almost suffocating!! Mom and Dad took me (and the kids) out to breakfast for my birthday, yummy! It has been forever since I have been to Harry O's. I think that will be the highlight of my big day... Deric has practice tonight so he won't be home... (he'll swing home for a quick bite to eat before he goes if he gets out of work early enough.) Yesterday we went to my in-laws for dinner and I think we'll be having the leftovers so that way I at least don't have to cook!

Baby Bumbo

The girls are having a fun time playing with the bumbo chair when it isn't in use... they both love sitting in it and sometimes I need to remind them it is Brody's chair, not theirs! I went into their room and Reygann had put here baby doll in the bumbo and put her blanket on her just like we do with Brody.

Hands

Brody found his hands a week or so ago... he is always playing with them one grabbing at the other, grabbing at toys when they are around, or pawing at our faces. He has also really taken off with sucking on his fingers... they are ALWAYS in his mouth and spit is ALWAYS everywhere else!!

Reyganns Toes

Poor girl has the craziest feet, they are peeling off like you would not believe, and it isn't just the top layer, it's pretty thick, Ouch!!

Sometimes Kylie is just one strange bird! I just love her outfit, gurnkers and all!! (gurnker = burp rag, her version of a blankie)
