Brody's Turn!

Brody's first time out in the snow! I know, I know, it is terrible for him to be in a pink snowsuit, but I wasn't going to buy him one just so we could take him out for 5 minutes!! I think the blue hat helps balance it out...

Daddy dropped him in the snow to see what he would do... he looked around and started to kick his feet like he does in the bath...

It kinda looked like he was trying to make a snow angel so daddy helped him out with the arms.

Daddy decided to be manly with Brody and scare mommy to death walking along the wall and across the plank to see the addition.

We thought we would let him try sledding hillbilly style too...
... and he seemed to enjoy it. We can't wait for next year when we will have all three kids out at the same time...

GoodNess!

Last night I went to Sams Club after dropping Kylie off at Cubbies... Deric had to go to Menards to get supplies for Saturday and was supposed to meet me there... but since I don't have a cell phone it makes it hard to get the timing right. By the time he got there I was already checking out, I'm not sure how I made it through the store on my own this time (I was getting a LOT, and big items... toilet paper, paper towels, ect...) The whole cart was full and over flowing. I kept losing everything, my chicken fell off the cart and I ran over it puncturing the bag (looks like we'll be having chicken a lot this week!), Reygann knocked the package of Mac and Cheese out and it broke the wrapper holding all the boxes together and they all went flying (all 16 of them!) then she leaned over the cart to see what happened and that pushed the croissants into the side popping the plastic sealing them. Oh what a night... I finally made it to the checkout (carrying items in my arms while pushing the huge cart) and I once again spilled the Mac and Cheese (at least it wasn't all of them this time). Deric showed up and I stacked the Mac for him to put in a box he found when the conveyor belt thing moved knocking some to the floor yet again! Is this a sign I shouldn't be buying Mac and Cheese?? I am pretty sure we made it through the rest of the checkout without incident... We sat down and had a snack (since we had to wait on Kylie still) and headed out... the box that we put the Mac in slid out of the bottom of my cart right in the middle of the isle/road that goes right in front of the store! So I am down on the ground picking them up again and a nice guy offered to help (Deric and I had two carts and he was way in front of me) I was almost done so he stood there making sure I wouldn't get hit! I finally made it to the cars and was glad that the trip was over!

Sleep

Well last night was better... I was in bed on time (well, 10:45... close enough!) I think Brody knows that I was good and went to bed cause he only woke up once vs. many, many times when I go to bed late! Dare I say it... I was almost refreshed when I was up with him instead of groggy like lately! Reygann didn't get them memo though... she was up twice wanting her blankie... I waited to see if she could find it on her own, but apparently she didn't and I ended up going in there and finding it for her (I didn't want her to wake Kylie and Brody up) the second time I waited and we both fell back asleep. Bummer is I wanted to blog last night when I got home and got the kids to bed, but by the time I was able to sit it was already pushing my 'bedtime' so I didn't so I could go to bed on time... I am going to have to find some other time that works for me I guess!

Bumbo

I don't think this how you're supposed to use it! ...but it makes giving medicine a lot easier!

I'm never going to get sleep again...

Reygann was up in the night again I went in there and she had taken her pants off (but not her diaper, I'm smarter now and I put undies OVER the diaper t0 help hold it on!) and she wanted her shirt off but she had already laid back down so I just ignored the request and when she got up in the morning I figured out why she wanted her shirt off... she had tried and got it stuck!

She has been getting up a lot for no real reason... she wants water (it's already in her bed), or Elmo (also in bed) another slice of pizza (NOT in bed, and not getting one either!) sometimes she wakes up and says 'Mommy, I need you...', now how are you supposed to ignore that!! And to top it off Brody has been waking up almost every two hours again! He has been sleeping through the night (or at least till 5:30am and then back to bed) since he was a month and a half... and this new change is killing me!!

Bumbo Chair

I bought this chair on Ebay and really like it. It is great to be able to plop Brody somewhere to play and not worry about him. I can no longer drop him on the couch for a second cause he arches his back and falls over, slides downs, and just plan won't hold still. I came back from taking Reygann potty and his head and shoulders we hanging off the edge!!! I need to borrow a toy that I can put in front of him to play with while he is sitting there... I have his play gym rigged up for now and it works ok that way so far. I know itt's purple, poor kid... but it was used and cheap!

Reminder

I saw this sign last night and thought it was a great idea to remind the guys to make reservations for Valentines Day....


... just probably not at this restaurant!! Too funny, had me giggling all the way home!

Knee Walls!

Yesterday Deric (and I) built the knee walls!! Yippie! I went out and helped for a little bit, but I wasn't out there too long since I had to wait for all three kids to be asleep! But I say I was pretty helpful!! Next weekend we will be doing the floor joists and hopefully getting the plywood in it so we can walk on it. I'm not sure what other goals he has for next weekend, that is all I know for now.

Busy week and a sick boy

This week was crazy busy for some reason, so sorry for not blogging a lot. I have been trying REALLY, REALLY hard to go to bed earlier then I have been (midnight or later) but that cuts into my blogging time since I do most of it after everyone is in bed. The phone was fixed at the beginning of the week (yeah!) I went to mom's to do laundry, went to the government center, took Brody to the Dr... I took Kylie to Cubbies and ran errands before I picked her back up, instead of going back home and having daddy picking her up, then the phone was out again (boo!) I fixed it (yeah!) hurt my finger and then it still wouldn't work (boo!) got it fixed again, hopefully the last time (yeah!). I have been doing a lot of stuff for Reygann's birthday and that cuts into my 'free' time too. Back to the Dr... I thought Brody was getting an ear infection and I was right. He doesn't fully have one yet, so we got some meds to keep it from getting worse, and we also got some meds for the cold he has had since just before Christmas. Those meds are great he sounds SO much better now and I think he is almost over it, yeah!! Hopefully it will keep snowing and we can let the kids play in the snow later today, I'll post pictures if we do!

Ps. Brody is 16lbs 13 oz!!!

My Boo Boo

Don't you feel bad for me! It actually REALLY REALLY hurts, and I keep catching the 'flap' of skin on stuff, ouch!!

I'm back!

Have you missed me? I have been having phone problems again!! We had the phone company come out and fix the line and he didn't do the best job and it stopped working again. I was out there last night in the freezing cold and snow trying to get the phone to work so I wouldn't lose my mind!! I actually cut my finger with a fingernail on my other hand because it was so cold! My hands were really tight and my one hand slipped and hit my finger and left a crescent shape gouge, it's actually pretty cool (sore, but cool)! They were back today and put in a whole new line so we shouldn't have anymore problems!! Brody is awake now, so I'll try to catch up more later.

Toys

We have a bunch of little people toy sets and Reygann is just starting to get into them... She has always loved the castle and house, I just don't think she knew there were pieces to go inside them! They were on the shelve and I think they were forgotten about (that is actually what Kylie was trying to get see post below...) All the pieces got put into one of the tubs and she has played with them almost every day since. I'm glad she is getting into them finally... we have enough of them they might as well get used! I'm glad we have pretty much all of them because I know we won't be getting any more little people any time soon!!

My Bride

I purchased a bunch of these clear plastic tubs to keep their toys more organized and Reygann threw this one on her head and said she was a bride! What a cutie pie!

Oh My!

Kylie wanted to get some different toys and decided to get them herself... I decided to check in on them and caught Kylie sitting on top of this book shelve! Now, I know that I am picture crazy and will snap first and then take care of things (poopy in bed, stuck under beds, ect) but I didn't even think to take a picture first it was just too dangerous! This is a pretty small shelve and she was sitting on the top bent over trying to pull out the basket under her (one shelve down). Talk about giving me a heart attack!!

Getting there...

Deric got the tar on the walls this weekend and back filled around the front of the existing house. Now we are waiting for the inspection... they should be here today sometime. Yesterday Deric ordered our trusses and they should be ready in a week and a half... that should be perfect timing because Deric will be back filling and stuff this weekend and the trusses will be here for the next weekend. Monte was here for about an hour yesterday... and broke our drain tile so we are having water issues again! Nothing terrible, but it is still wet and the sump pump keeps running... I just hope it doesn't freeze...

Fairy Princess

I took some pictures of Kylie and Reygann playing dress ups but it ended up being the day before we went to Joan's house for our tea party so I didn't post them, but I just love this one of Kylie and had to share it.

I feel like a referee! A bunch of new stuff and a lot less sleep is NOT a good combo!! They both got different purses with the same kind of stuff in them (phone, keys, makeup, glasses, ect) but they both want the same one of course! I keep taking the toys away if they aren’t going to share no one is going to have it, and at this rate they will be out of toys soon!!


Kylie writing on her new leap pad... you can see the tracing she did on the picture of the ABC page. She loves to write and I figured I better keep Reygann busy with something new too... so I pulled out her Elmo aqua doodle and set her up in her room. She did great playing with it and kept to herself... it was Kylie that saw what Reygann was doing and had a fit because she wanted to do that! (Drive me Crazy!!) So they ended up switching toys, silly kids!

Ps. I wrote this post right after Christmas... They are sharing MUCH better now!!

Poor Brody

The poor little guy is STILL under the weather! He was having a hard time breathing so I sucked out his nose and he got a bloody nose!! 3 months old and he has his first bloody nose, what a boy!

Blog Problems

Is anyone else having a hard time getting into their blogs? I've been trying and can hardly get through... I have finally had success! I have some back blogging to do...

Rodeo Boy

I put Brody down on the chair for a minute and walked away and came back and he was all engrossed in the rodeo on the TV. He didn't move a muscle (he didn't even look away) until the first commercial came on and he started wiggling all over the place.

...and the forms came tumbling down...

They came back yesterday and stripped the forms and we now have our walls showing. They were back again today and poured our dead wall next to the house and the part of the basement stairs. Monte was back today again and worked more on our dosing chamber for the septic... he couldn't find the line that goes out to the field so we still aren't up and running yet ...hopefully soon!

Shoot!

Arugghhh!!! I lost ANOTHER one!!! This is really ANNOYING! I liked Ebay better when I was on a winning streak!

I WON!

I won I won I won... I won I won I won... I won I won I won... yeah!!! I WON!!! I FINALLY won something on Ebay again!! I have been trying for the last week and a half trying to win some Elmo party stuff for Reyganns birthday and I finally won!! I can't even tell you how many auctions I was outbid on and lost recently... it was getting REALLY annoying! So loosing streak over, I won! Now I need to get on with planning her party!
