I just couldn't help myself... I know we didn't really need 40 pictures of this, but they were all so cute! He really had a good time pulling (and trying to eat) the lights... I also think he liked them because they kept him nice and warm! I am bummed that I accidentally turned off the flash and that is why most of the pictures are so yellow.

3 Months Old

I almost forgot to post Brody's 3 month pictures. We aren't really sure how much he weighs but we think it is about 16 pounds. I weighed him on the scale at the post office and it was having a hard time giving me a reading it finally came up with 14lbs 7oz, I don't think that is right.. so I weighed him on the antique baby scale, but he kept bouncing so much the needle wouldn't hold still but it was somewhere between 15-16 lbs. We ended up holding him and weighing ourselves on the scale and then just weighing alone and each of us got 16lbs that way, so I am guessing that it is the more accurate number. We also measured him and think he is about 25 inches long. The poor little guy is still under the weather, and was up having coughing fits last night, hopefully we will beat this soon.

Could have been better...

So I went to be just before 1:00 am and still had a hard time falling asleep. I was still up at 1:15, but that was the last time I remember... Kylie woke up crying at 1:45 (half hour or less of sleep) I ignored her at first because I knew it wasn't an 'important' cry, but then I started to wonder if she wet the bed or something so I got up. She didn't, she just wanted a drink of water (and she knows she isn't supposed to have water during the night especially waking mommy up when she can't sleep!) But I got her the water anyways because I didn't want her to cry and wake everyone else up (she cries at EVERYTHING! DRIVES ME CRAZY!!!!) But by then Reygann was up and decided she wanted water too... so I searched in her bed (with the lights out) for what seemed like hours and finally gave up and was going to give her Kylie's cup since she couldn't see it was the wrong color, and I bumped her cup off the dresser! No wonder why I couldn't find it in her bed... so I got her water too and she actually went back to bed very well. Back to bed for mommy.. and 2:15 I hear moving around.. I guess Kylie had to go to the bathroom and took herself (what a good girl!) but she couldn't get her jammies snapped again. She came over to the side of the bed and I snapped her jammies for her and back to bed we both go. (Union suit jammies, really cute... but NOT a good idea!!) But with all the goings on Brody was waking up, he does this really cute sucking/eating noise when he's putting himself to sleep (but it is really LOUD because of being tongue tied). So he is inches from my head going full throttle on the soothing routine but it's keeping me awake... but I don't want to just get him up because I can't sleep, I want him to be able to put himself back to sleep. So half an hour later he is still going at it but I'm smacking his butt to help out I thought we had it, but that only lasted 5 minutes. Lucky for me he finally cried and I took him out to feed him. It was sometime after 3:00 that I finally made it down for the rest of the night... granted Deric had to ask me something before he left so I was up then and Kylie was up earlier than she had been the last 3 days but I had her come in bed and we snuggled until Reygann came in and then we moved the party to the couch (Reygann isn't good at whispering and I was trying to keep Brody asleep). Brody is still asleep and the girls and I are eating breakfast... but now I'm wishing I showered instead of eating... I wonder if I can still before Brody wakes up... I hate it when he starts to cry right after I get in, the poor guy!

Trying Again

Well folks, it's tomorrow... I think I am going to try this whole sleep thing again... wish me luck!

Happy New Year!!

This Sucks!

So here we are wide awake, can't sleep after 11:30, and last night I was sound asleep before 11:30 while trying to stay awake! Yep, we missed it, we tuned in at 11:59 New York time to see the ball drop in Time Square (pure luck that we caught it) and that is pretty much all I remember until I heard the TV talking about west coast time and I woke up enough to realize that I had been asleep and channel surfed to see if we missed it... we had, by a half hour! I was so tired I went to bed without even brushing my teeth (EWWW, gross... I know, I know!) Anyways... I have been tossing and turning and fighting with my pants (the legs keep twisting and riding up my legs and driving me CRAZY!) for a half hour now, so I figured I'd get up and try again instead of waking Deric up. (So kind of me, I know..) I looked out the window and there was a dusting of snow, and I thought it was cool, I couldn't sleep, but it was kinda fun to see the fresh snow... but it looked kinda odd, and I really couldn't figure out why so I looked at it out the back door to see if I could figure out what was so odd about it. Apparently the odd thing about it was the fact that there wasn't any snow! Am I hallucinating? I go back to the first window... humm, the snow is still there. I fight my way to the front door (I have Christmas boxes in the way) and turn on the porch light and go back to the kitchen window to see my 'snow' again... Are you ready for this? It is stones, my snow is stones! The stone they put down in the addition is really white and dusty and it looked like snow in the moonlight! I knew the stones were there but I guess I wasn't thinking about them being there and it looked like snow! Can we tell that I am tired and need sleep!? Come on brain, it's obvious that you aren't fully functioning... let's shut it all the way down now.... please?

The Kids

Kylie did really good holding Brody for the pictures; she would hold him all day if she could… well at least until she wanted to do something more fun!

Kylie was being such a ham! I wanted to get a ‘good’ picture of her, but she was just being too silly! (The sun coming in the window is what made these look funny)

Brody didn’t really care what was going on. I had a hard time getting him to smile… the little guy was on his way to dream land...

Reygann was again cranky and didn’t want to take her picture; but she did want to show me her ‘Rella’ (her Cinderella pull-up).
