Weekend Mornings

This is a typical weekend morning (when Daddy is home that is) the kids all surround him and help him eat his cereal. It takes a lot longer this way, but cereal is better if shared with dad!

All Clear!

We got the all clear from the Dr's office. That could mean 1 of a few things, he already passed it and we just didn't see it, he didn't eat it (the second battery that is) after all, or it is already past the part where it would get caught up at. So we just have to keep an eye on him and make sure everything is ok, not that I know what not ok is... I guess I will figure it out if it happens! Now you know I wouldn't be a good parent if I didn't take a few pictures... so here they are!

ER Trip

Here I am posting getting ready to take Brody to the ER... well I am going to stop by the Dr office and pick up a Rx for an x-ray, and I should just be able to go to the hospital. But there is a chance I'll have to take him to the ER vs just walking into the hospital. The reason for all of this is my battery eating boy finally ate 2!! They fell out of one of the girls toys, I found the toy with the cover off and the batteries missing. Kylie found one on the floor and put it on the shelve, but I never found the other 2. I figured they were lost, even though I searched really hard for them, it wasn't until he pooped one out that I realized that he ate them!! We aren't sure if he ate them both or just the one but they said to bring him in soon as he woke up. Eating a battery is bad enough but he ate the worst possible kind (the watch kind) because they can open up and chew his guts up. SO hopefully there will be no problems and it won't be in there (either he didn't eat it, or he passed it and we just didn't find it)! I'll keep you posted!

HELP!!!

If anyone wants to come help me paint feel free to! I am having issues! I am doing all the touch ups and I will touch up the pink wall, and get pink on the green, then I will touch up the green wall and get green back on the pink, then I will touch up the pink wall and you know what happens next. I think I finally have the colors fixed, but I am afraid to do the white on the ceilings!! I don't want to have to touch up the colors on all the walls again! I have tried using all the handy gadgets that are out, I have tried using a straight edge (somehow I got paint on the other side and smeared paint on the side I was trying to protect!), I have tried taping it off (but I don't tape well so my lines look like a drunk guy did them)... so now I am trying something different.. looking for someone who is better than I am, or someone that actually has a steady hand!! I feel like I am wasting borrowed time on this. I still have some trim stuff to paint, I have all the downstairs trim to stain and varnish, I still have to paint a second coat on the downstairs walls, and touch up the ceiling down there too! Deric is basically done with the trim upstairs and can start on the downstairs anytime, but I'm not done with the trim or walls yet! Arugghhh! HELP!!

Reyganns Big Day

I've been thinking about cutting Reyganns hair for a while now and today (well Sunday) was finally the day. We cut it outside to minimize the mess (and to keep Brody out of the hair) but it was quite windy and it was a bit challenging at times. I cut it dry because since her hair is curly I didn't want it to be shorter than I was wanting... but somehow it ended up shorter than I was expecting anyways! I think her head must have been tipped up or something, because it was below her shoulders when I combed it and started to cut it, but it didn't end up that long! I kept having to straighten out her head, sit her back up straight, and keep her looking the right direction! Even with Deric helping it was quite the ordeal! All in all I think she looks cute!

I came across Brody sitting on the kitchen floor eating a sandwich... I didn't give him a sandwich I must have missed a piece that Reygann dropped or something!




He must have been tired because after his lunch he fell asleep on the floor! (I ran out to the addition for a few minutes and he was passed out by the time I got back!) I love the booty in the air!!

Ta-da! These pictures were taken when we were appliance shopping, mom and dad were looking for appliances for the rehab house and so we went at the same time and they kept and eye on the kids when they were done looking so we could get down to business.
