So there was no work done Saturday... with the 'big storm' coming there wasn't enough time to take the tarp off build the roof and get it suitable for snow and stuff. Deric got all the rafters cut and stuff like that so this Saturday all they (should) have to do is put it all together. I was brave and went upstairs again and this time there was only Deric to help me out. I did really well (good? well? I can never remember which one is the correct one!).. oh well. I did get a little nervous climbing back on the ladder to go down, I think Deric let go of the ladder as I was swinging on to it and I freaked out and shouted out to hold on to the dang ladder (he was showing me that it was safe and it wasn't going to move... I really didn't care, I wanted him holding on to the ladder!!) Anyways... this is upstairs looking down where the stairs are... otherwise known as where you will fall if you crash the ladder. It actually doesn't look to bad here.. maybe I should get another picture where you can see the other ladder too? Or better yet a bit of the floor so you know where that is... at the bottom of the picture you can see part of the wall/floor of the main level and the ladder you see on the right is in the basement.

Twistin'
Mister Broders just doesn't want to hold still for anything anymore... he is constantly twisting around trying to check everything out! He's pretty flexible I think he could touch the back of his head with his feet if he knew how to try!
One of these days he is going to go over and get a face full of water...
...knowing me I'll be there with the camera to catch it!

Menards Fun
We went to Menards the other day to get stuff for the house and I saw this play area last time we were there so we stopped and let the girls play for a while since we hadn't been out lately.
It was pretty cool, there were tons of little play houses to play/climb/slide on..
but the coolest thing was this 'roller coaster' the girls loved it!

Picture of Daddy
Toes!
Exersaucer
We borrowed an exersaucer from Joan and tried Brody out in it... it was really cute, he wasn't sure what to think and went through a range of emotions before deciding that he was cool with it! The girls love it too they are constantly holding on to it walking in circles singing the Hokey Pokey song and trying to drag it around the room! I keep reminding them that they can't do that when he is in there or they might make him sick!! It's nice for me that I have somewhere new I can entertain him for a bit while I try to get stuff done.

Brody, Brody, Brody...
Isn't this sweet? Kylie was being all loving on him (that's his tummy under her head) and he grabbed a chunk of her hair and tried to rip it out! Poor girl!
A bit later I was changing his diaper when Reygann started to pee on the floor I grabbed something to throw on the puddle and turned around and this is what Brody was doing! Where does he think he is going!?!

Making Rainbows
We Have Heat!!!
What a day (yesterday) Deric called late morning telling me that the vendors were taking them to a Bulls game and wanted to make sure that was cool with me, I would have rather him been home but how often do you get an opportunity like that so I said have fun... and my day went downhill from there. I think the girls knew daddy wasn't coming home and were seeing how crazy they could drive me!! Brody was out of sorts and I was only able to get him down for 1 afternoon nap so he didn't want to play on his own at all he just wanted to be held which made it hard to do stuff and chase after the girls (good thing we have a small house!!) Blah, blah, blah, and stuff like that we were all a bit cranky... I have the girls in the bath and I finally got Brody down and I hear this odd noise (I'm guessing it had been making the noise for awhile it was just too stinking loud in here to hear it). I thought it was one of the sump pumps so I went downstairs to check it out (how good of me) and it was the furnace, oh great! I checked it out made some phone calls and there is nothing anyone can really do, I got the number for our repair guy but I knew Deric wouldn't want me to pay him to fix it so I tried to call him back again to see what he (Deric) says but his phone just rings and rings. I'm a little like Ok I just told you we have no heat, I know you are on your way to a Bulls game, but you can still answer your phone! I wonder how long the furnace had been off, I was really cold all afternoon but occasionally I am. So anyway I put the kids to bed and snuggle up under a blanket on the couch and wait for Deric to come home. He called around 10:45 to say he was on his way home but he wasn't sure if I was asleep so he just let it ring once and I could call him back if I was awake... I was so I called him back and it just rang and rang... Hello! You just called me, answer your phone!! (I'm not mad or cranky, just confused) I go to bed and wake up to this banging noise (It scared the crap out of me!!) I knew it had to be Deric but I was still fuzzy from sleeping, I thought maybe he was locked out and was banging on the front screen door, but it wasn't coming from that direction so I listen again and it sounds really close so I thought maybe he was banging on the siding right outside the window to wake me up... nope, I finally woke up enough to climb out of bed and check it out (I thought about grabbing the gun just in case, but decided against it.. I was pretty sure it was just Deric and I was still pretty sleepy, so I played it safe!) he was in the basement banging something on the furnace. I was glad he was fixing it and I would finally be warm again, but I scolded him for scaring the crap out of me! So he got it working again, and came to bed.. I was up at 1 with Brody and thought it was cold, but when isn't it when you are up in the middle of the night... then I was up at 3 yep getting colder... at 5 I checked the temperature and it was 59! Burrr!! I nudged Deric (his alarm was going to go off soon) and told him he couldn't fix it and leave for work until we knew it was going to stay working, it's too cold! He told work he was going to be late and stayed home and got the furnace working again... it needed a new motherboard I guess and it took a while to find a place that carried them and would sell once to us (since we aren't a company), but we did and now we have heat!! I'm still a bit cold, my fingers are freezing and my nose is cold to the touch... I think I am going to nuke some coffee and put another layer on!

Brody's Video
Check it out... I got t a video to work! It isn't the best one I had, but that one was sideways, so this will have to do. Check out Brody eating cereal for the first time. He gets all excited an attacks anything that comes near his mouth, and he squeals at the computer when he sees the video!
More Work Done
We have a second floor!
Billy standing around... just kidding!
Billy helping me up the ladder... I had a hard time going up the ladder to the second floor, it was kinda surprising. Growing up I used to hang out on the garage roof in the summer, so to be nervous was odd. I think it had to do with the ladder being over the hole to the basement so it was a LONG fall if you fell, that and my shoes had snow on them so I didn't feel very stable. I kept screaming kinda, every time I freaked out I would let it be known!
