Special Lunch Date

Aren't they cute?
They were leaning trying to get Brody in the picture... he wasn't going along with the idea though!

Brody was doing the boy thing.
He was being so crazy and goofy, hence the pictures being blurry.

Nope, this bite isn't too big!

Ok, fine. Maybe it is a little too big, how's this for ya?

What's the scoop?

Is anyone else beat? I am! Shew!! I should go to bed... but we know how that goes... I don't see myself getting there any time soon... Just thought I would let you know...

Gotta love free stuff!

This is just the tip of the iceburg! I forgot to take pictures of the other stuff before it went in the wash and when it came out it was put away, and I am not going to dig through their drawers to take a picture for you guys! Sorry!

I think I got 13 shirts and 7 pairs of pants for Brody this time

Another time I got him this White Sox jacket!

I got 2 whole bags of stuff for Kylie and Reygann! I got a coat for her too, some of the stuff wasn't stuff I wouldn't use so I passed them on to someone who could use them more than us. Oh yeah, there was a bike too!

House Update

Ok, so these are SO old! I kinda have been a lazy blogger lately! I have been so busy and TIRED!! But I shouldn't make excuses...

We FINALLY have a new front door! We had to wait for our final draw (that was 3 months late) and once it came through we bought our door. It isn't the door we wanted, we spent forever trying to find where we could get the door we wanted for the best price and finally nailed it down, but when it came time to buy we decided we didn't want to pay that much for a door so we got this one instead. :0( It is ok, and still has the mission feel to it, but it isn't the same... But it is only a door right?? (I guess I am getting ahead of myself... you haven't even seen the door yet.)

Daddy was being too loud for me! (Pardon my pjs)

Yep, still being too loud! See daddy cutting the hole for our new front door?

Aren't we all dressed great? Reygann and Brody are in their pjs, and Kylie is wearing a dress up that is about 2 sizes to small! Somedays you just need to let them be!

Here is our new door... sigh. Now that Deric moved the door he was able to finish siding the front of the house! Yea! I also got the door painted, so from the outside we no longer look like such a mess! Granted the old door is still leaning up against the porch... you can't win them all I guess! I'll have to remember to take a picture of the front of house tomorrow so you can really see my door.

Check Me Out!

I don't know why we find this to be so funny, but we do! This was from 7 months ago (doesn't he look so young?!), I tried to upload it before, but with dial up it was just impossible!! This was right when he was starting to scowl, so after he shrieks to get Daddys attention (because he is not giving him cake fast enough), he then glares at him (to show his disapproval) then says please (or peas) after daddys asks him to and then has to say Ahh and opens his mouth, and finally gets his cake! Seems pretty normal, but we love it. Seriously the girls ask all the time if they can watch the Brody Peas video! And we will sit here and watch it over and over and over again. (Yes often we are laughing and have tears running down our cheeks!) I think part of the reason I find it to be so funny is because the girls do and they get into giggle fits and can't stop and their reaction is so funny it makes the clip even better.

Even Brody likes watching himself
I think he is a little confused here!
Funny thing is he started going along with it...
here he is saying Ahh
And shoving the cake in his mouth

Yumm, that was so good!

Awww

Today should have been Brody's 2nd birthday! Looks like I am going to have to wait a few more days still. I can't believe it has been almost 2 years already!!

Months later this STILL makes me laugh!!

Teeny Tiny Toady

Come on, isn't this the cutest thing you have ever seen!?!

Painting in the basement

That's deep

Today on our way home from dropping Kylie off at school, Reygann started asking questions. Questions about death! What a hard topic that was to cover. She asked when we were going to die, why Jesus died, and if animals were going to die. It was quite the conversation to have with a 3 year old! Every time she was quiet and didn't ask another question I thought she got her answers, but nope, she was just soaking it in and coming up with more questions. She asked why animals had to die and then told me they could just go outside to puke. I'm not sure how that is linked unless she is thinking being sick leads to dying. Seriously it was a long conversation, I wish I could have recorded it, she was very insightful at times.

Rain, rain, go away!

Yes, it has been raining, AGAIN. I don't know if anyone I know hasn't been affected in one way or another. Thankfully we didn't flood, we got some seepage, but that is to be expected until we get gutters.
Friday night all was going well, but then the rain turned into storms. Deric went downstairs to check the basement and the girls came running in (picture the kids running in during the storm on The Sound of Music) and jumped into bed with me. I told them they could stay till Daddy gets back (they both kick and attack you). The thunder part of the storm had past, I wasn't being mean! And I was planning on letting them sleep on our floor. They are happy with that. Anyways Deric never came back! He was so nervous he couldn't sleep and he got online and was checking the weather. I think he dozed off on the couch a bit though.
Last night it was storming again and the girls said they were scared. They asked if they could sleep in the same bed, and we said yes, as long as they didn't goof off. We were watching the Buckeye game and didn't get to bed till late and this is what we found when we got up there...
I am pretty sure we didn't say they could sleep in our bed! Kylie rolled over when the flash went off, but other than that they stayed asleep. When I carried Reygann to her bed she was talking about something, but it was complete and utter gibberish! It was really funny, I wish I could remember what it was about.
We got a ton more rain today, Deric almost didn't go to church because he was afraid of our basement flooding again. We decided to go and hopefully since we were going to Church God was going to be nice and not flood us while we were gone and he didn't! Our yard was all flooded and our empty pool is filled and over flowing! I ran over to Mom's today to sew something really quick and I went through a lot of flooding on my way. My way home was a different story, it should have taken me 10 minutes, and it ended up taking me almost an hour!! Roads were closed everywhere because of flooding, it was crazy! There were people making sandbags and everything. I really wish I had brought my camera with me...

Promises

Reygann just promised me she wouldn't get married until she was 50. Do you think that is a legally binding promise?

Word Help

I'm making this thing for my kids and I need a word that describes them that starts with each letter in their names. I have most of them, but I am stuck on a few... so here is hoping you can help!

Kind
Y
Loving
Imaginative
E

Really Sweet
Energetic
Y
Giggly
Adorable
Nutty
N

Busy
Rambunctious
O
Daring (or darling)
Youngest (feel free to try for a better one here!)

See, I did get most of the letters! Feel free to suggest words for letters that I already have!! And I would prefer for them all to be different (I don't want all the Y's to be the same for all three kids). I can't wait to see what you come up with, don't let me down!! ;0)

At Kylie's School Today

Awana Open House

Two Wednesdays ago was the Awana open house/kickoff. We stopped by early in the evening and got the girls registered (Kylie is a first year Sparks, and Reygann is a first year Cubbie). When you checked out they gave you a bunch of 'awana shares' to spend outside.

We spent our first dollars getting snowcones for Daddy and the kids!

Brody LOVES ice, and usually carries a cup around chewing on them so we knew the snow cone was going to be a hit!

And of course the girls loved theirs too!

Mommy got a bag of super buttery, super salty popcorn instead.

After eating we moved on to the bounce house. Maybe that wasn't the smartest idea! But we were ok, no sickies here!

Brody was too little for the bounce house, so he got a ride from Daddy instead.

There were a lot of options for where to spend your money.

After the bounce house we moved on to the bean bag game

And then bozo buckets

then back to the bean bag game!

There were TOO many mosquitoes out so Daddy and Brody headed back to the car to wait for us to finish. A few more trips to the bounce house, and 50 mosquito bites later we called it a day and were out of there!
